Muscular therapy is a bodywork system that focuses on:
The assessment, treatment and prevention of pain and injury problems.
Stress reduction and relaxation.
Helping people learn to better care for and enjoy their bodies.
Muscular therapy is a technique developed by Ben Benjamin in the 1960's.
This bodywork system incorporates Swedish massage, deep tissue bodywork, and myofascial and friction therapies. Muscular therapy treats a variety of pain, injury, body perception and muscle tension problems. Myofascial and friction therapy techniques are used specifically to reduce scar tissue which accumulates as a result of injury to soft tissue structures in the body.
